Every Christmas issue of Early American Life contains three or more projects you can make as gifts for your friends or family—or just to challenge yourself. The 2010 Christmas issue includes four projects, each with many variations. These include ornaments drawn from artwork at three favorite museums, decorations you can make from paper filigree (also known as quillwork), stockings to knit, and a Moravian-style Christmas pyramid (a forerunner of our Christmas tree).
Although you'll have to buy the Christmas 2010 issue to see the latest projects, we offer these three from past issues (now no longer available) to get you started.
t Build a Doll Chair (Christmas 2004)
t Stitch a Holiday Sampler (Christmas 2004)
t Make Paper Ornaments (Christmas 2007)
