Paul Boyd interprets the designs of George Hepplewhite and Thomas Sheraton, sometimes verbatim from their eighteenth century lithographs. He also creates authentic reproductions of several pieces of furniture from Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson in Charlottesville, Virginia for the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation.. His background in formal furniture dates back to 1978 when he apprenticed at the Biggs Company of Richmond, Virginia. He has been producing furniture on his own in a partialy renovated barn in Stuarts Draft, Virginia since 2003. This is his second appearance in the EAL Directory of Traditional American Crafts. His first award was in 2005..For detailed photographs of Paul Boyd's work
