FLOOR COVERINGS

Playfulness, unpredictable color, and design are the basis of Annie Haye's rugs. Annie hand dyes her fabric using purchased wool as well as wool from old jackets and skirts from a friend of hers that has an antique clothing store. She only takes garments that are no longer wearable.

Her surroundings infuse her work, as it includes her two cats, the rabbit in the yard on her Cape Cod vacation and her daughter's exuberant drawings. These are all made into her rugs.

Annie enjoys the inventiveness and abandoned character of handmade, primitive rugs.
