Lisa Teller Short is a self-taught folk artist from Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, whose s interest in folk art grew from her love of antiques and the decorative arts of the Pennsylvania Germans.
Her primary focus is on the traditional craft of fraktur, highly artistic and elaborate 18th- and 19th-Century illuminated manuscript or folk art drawings created by the Pennsylvania Germans. Most fraktur designs that Lisa creates are reproductions of original references or adaptations inspired by original references.
