Adam Mathews is a self-taught furniture maker who started his career as an illustrator. In his one-man shop he crafts fine furniture one piece at a time, employing traditional joinery including pegged mortises and tenons and hand-cut dovetails. He works from his barn and c. 1800 stone home in the historic rolling hills of southeastern Pennsylvania.
