Luke Barnett, a native and resident of Adrian, Michigan, is a woodworker and artist who specializes traditional American Windsor chairs. He has been selling his chairs since 2011 and has been a full-time chair maker since December 2013, working out of his home.

Barnett is the director of the Adrian Community Woodshop as well as an executive board member of the Lenawee Council for the Visual Arts. He travels around the country teaching other artists and woodworkers.

Barnett’s work has won awards and been featured in internationally published magazines including Early American Life. His contemporary birdcage Windsor rocking chair earned national recognition from multiple media outlets. In November 2014, Popular Woodworking Magazine chose his continuous arm rocker with an aged mustard finish as best in the seating category for the year.

Barnett has also had his work displayed in The Way We Work, a traveling exhibition organized by the Smithsonian Institution.
